Potato Drop?

If you’re anything like us, you wouldn’t have known what a Potato Drop is either. On this crisp fall day just before Thanksgiving, Mrs. Alice Lu McCormick from Society of St. Andrew invited Chatham Alliance to participate in a potato drop. A drop is where a group gleans or gathers the remains after a recent harvest. The produce isn’t always the prettiest but it is nutritious.

Children from Carolina Friends School bagged pallets of potatoes to give to nonprofits to share with the community. The joy of service and love was palpable. We can’t wait to experience this again.
