Help Us Feed Chatham County Neighbors This Fall
With your help, we raised $2,565 during the Community Harvest Fall Campaign! Now it's time to make some meals on Nov 16-18.
NOTE: We always need the most volunteers on Sunday afternoon when we chop and slice and Tuesday morning when we package the finished meals. Thank you for considering one of these shifts.

Community Harvest is a collaboration between Chatham Alliance, Pittsboro Eats!, and Equiti Foods (maker of Good Bowls). Once a quarter, we raise funds to prep, cook and pack at least 500 healthy meals for neighbors in need in Chatham County. Meals are distributed through CORA Food Pantry, Feed Well Fridges, Communities in Schools of Chatham County, and Chatham Chuckwagon.
>Congratulations!

Shay Alderman - The Sycamore ($100)

Thank you to everyone who donated to Community Harvest!

The Chatham Chuckwagon works to promote community care and food equity in Chatham County thanks to donations from local community members, churches, businesses and farmers.
The Chatham Chuckwagon partners with volunteers to prepare delicious, healthy meals on a weekly basis, at one of several local community kitchens. The meals are packaged, frozen and given to members of the community free of charge.
Within the last year, the program has provided over 20,000 meals to members of our community.
We invite community members to come pick up a meal for you and your family or volunteer to come join a cooking or distribution team and meet new neighbors and maybe make new friends while making Chatham a better place for all.

Chatham Community Harvest grew out of a pandemic-era “pay it forward” collaboration between Equiti Foods, maker of Good Bowls, and the local foodie group Pittsboro Eats! with a mission to support local restaurants while feeding our neighbors in Pittsboro and Chatham County. In mid-2023, Chatham Community Harvest was established as a core program of the Chatham Alliance, a 501c-3 corporation.
With proceeds from quarterly fund-raising campaigns, Chatham Community Harvest produces healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals that are distributed free of charge thru Communities in Schools Chatham County, CORA Food Pantry, and Chatham Chuckwagon.

The Town of Pittsboro has invited Chatham Alliance to develop an Educational Demonstration Garden in the new Pop-Up-Park being developed on Salisbury Street in Pittsboro.
The Rotary Club of Pittsboro has joined the partnership as the major financial sponsor for the project.
The garden will focus on easy and inexpensive methods for growing fresh fruits and vegetables at home, even with only very limited space.
